Kim Cattrall
Kim Victoria
Cattrall, born 21 August 1956 was a British-Canadian actress. She is well-known
for her part in the role of Samantha Jones on HBO's Sex and the City
(1998-2004), for which she received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden
Globe Award nominations, receiving the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting
Actress. She reprised the role in the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and
the City 2 (2011). Cattrall's debut film was Rosebud (1975) as well as she was
later cast in different roles on television. In the 1980s, she gained to fame
through films such as Ticket to Heaven (1981), Police Academy (1984) and
Hold-Up (1985). She also appeared in City Limits (1985), Big Trouble in Little
China(86), Mannequin (1987), Masquerade (1888), Midnight Crossing (1988) and
The Return of the Musketeers (1989). Tribute (1980), Porky's (81) as well as
Turk 182(85) and Baby Geniuses (999) were among the occasions she co-starred
with Bob Clark. Her other film credits include The Bonfire of the Vanities
(1990), Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (1991), Split Second (1992),
Above Suspicion (1995) 15 Minutes (2001), Crossroads (2002), Ice Princess
(2005), My Boy Jack (2007), The Ghost Writer (2010), and Meet Monica Velour
(2010).
