Pollyanna McIntosh was born in Portugal and Colombia She was born in Colombia and Portugal, but she later moved to Scotland where she began performing on stage during The Edinburgh Festival. After 16 she relocated to London where she began to get involved in independent filmmaking. (Her first pay-per-view on The Acid House was as a stoner alongside Irvine Welsh (1998)). Also, she's participated in theater, as an actor as well as director. The move to Los Angeles in 2004 led to more stage work. Exam (2009), which was shot in London and LA it was her following film. It was nominated for Outstanding British Debut by the BAFTA and won the Santa Barbara Film Fest's Best Independent Award. The reviewers praised Pollyanna's capacity to "emotionally vulnerability" her tough, ambitious character. GQ just said "stunning Pollyanna McIntosh is an extremely talented actress".
