Milena Govich
Milena Govich, a director, actor and
musician, has directed numerous episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015), The
Equalizer (2021), FBI The Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012) among others.
Milena was the Co-EP/Producing Director for Dick Wolf’s CBS series FBI (2018)
and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was chosen as one of eight
directors for AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Her short film
and TV series proof-of-concept called Unspeakable featuring Laura Vandervoort
and Jeff Kober has was screened at its World premiere at SXSW and was awarded
Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival and Best Pilot at the
SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) is screened
across the country, winning Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best
Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at
Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100
television episodes as an actor. She first gained national attention in CBS's
Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of
Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her debut on CBS. She
was then the first and only female detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville
(2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) [ABC
Family]; and Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena is also a
part of various films, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011)
which starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) The #Lucky
Number (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015), which stars with Method Man; and the
films Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena is a
native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high-school before she
graduated with two major vocal performances and premed at the University of
Central Oklahoma. She was also named valedictorian. She benefited from her
classical ballet training to make her Broadway debut in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes
production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
