Markie Post
Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She
started her professional career as a film and TV producer, with projects like
"The New Card Sharks", (1978) and "Card Sharks" (1986).
Post produced projects such as Double Dare (1976), and was a guest on numerous TV
shows like E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl
(2001). Her most notable TV role was that of "Christine Sullivan" in
Night Court (1984). She was featured in the show's 156 episodes from 1984 to
1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is a noted poet and nuclear
scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7, 2015.). Two
daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on March 30,
1990) was her second wedding to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo Alto,
California and grew up close to Walnut Creek in California. As an athlete, she
was a part of Las Lomas High School located in Walnut Creek. She received her
Bachelor of Arts at Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She performed
a few trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The ashes of
her were returned to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a lifelong Democrat.
Markie Post died three months after her 71st birthday on August 7 2021. She
passed away 27 days following her fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles
Robinson, who passed away on July 11, 2021. While the two shows were not
related, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine Sullivan's
character leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) began with Post as
Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later
moved to a small community after her time in Washington DC.
