Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger, was born in
Katy, Texas on April 25 in 1969. Her mother, Kjellfrid (Andreassen), is an
ex-nurse and midwife born in Norway. Kven (Finnish), and also has Swedish as
well as Norwegian descent. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a Swiss
engineer. They were became married in 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older
brother. He is an executive in marketing and was born on the 15th of February
1967. When she was working at the drama club, Renee became interested in
acting. She enrolled in an acting class at the University of Texas (Austin) and
began to think about acting as a profession. After graduating, she wanted to go
back to acting, but Hollywood is a difficult town to break into, so Renee
decided to stay in Texas, and auditioned for roles around Houston and managed
to get roles in movies as Reality Bites (1994) and Empire Records (1995).
Matthew McConaughey (another Hollywood rising star) was her close friend when
she was on the set of Texas Chainsaw Massacre II: The Next Generation (1994).
Renee watched him work on a project that caught her attention. She auditioned ,
and was offered the role in Love and A.45 (1994). The film received enough
praise from critics and a decision to move to Los Angeles. Another part in The
Whole Wide World (1996) followed which led to her first big break. Cameron
Crowe was busy with casting Jerry Maguire (1996) which starred Tom Cruise.
Crowe was considering actresses like Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder
(Winona Ryder), and Marisa Tomei. Then he came across Zellweger's performance
at The Whole Wide World (1996). He had a chance to audition Zellweger and was
confident that he'd found his Dorothy Boyd. Renee was able to follow her
massive success by releasing a couple of independent films. After receiving
further critical praise, she felt confident enough to reenter the realm of
large-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep starred with her in One True Thing
(1998). She also took a role in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) with Jim
Carrey, and soon after began dating Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
