Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actor
from America. She is best known for her performances on American daytime TV,
frequent guest appearances, and made-for TV movies. Sofer was recognized with a
Daytime Emmy Award by CBS in 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo, the role she
played on the soap opera General Hospital. She has been portraying Quinn Fuller
since 2013 on CBS the soap show The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in
Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor and
Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. Following the divorce of her parents
Sofer's family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer emigrated with
her brother David and her father to Teaneck in New Jersey. However, Sofer lived
in Western Pennsylvania as a child. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where
her father directed the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch
School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New
Jersey). Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey and her father was rabbi of
synagogue Temple Beth El. She completed her studies at North Bergen High
School, and then went to Montclair State College. Sofer was the first actress
to portray Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. The first time she appeared
on the show was in 1993 as the manager of a group. Her first TV role was as
Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap hosts. Sofer is perhaps most well-known for her
portrayal of Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24,
1996). In the following years, she was a guest star on the show (February 7-17,
1997 between September 30th and October 2nd , 1997). The role she played as the
sexy Lois was a huge hit and earned Sofer an Emmy Award in 1995. Daytime Emmy
Award in 1995 for the role of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
In May 2013 it was announced that Sofer would join the CBS soap show The Bold
and the Beautiful as a new character called Quinn Fuller; her first episode
aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has appeared in several notable primetime TV
series as a supporting cast member or guest star roles: Seinfeld, Melrose
Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer,
24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
