Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991) is an English model, actress director, activist, and actress. Wright is most famous for her performance in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She remained in the role for 10 years before moving on to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). Wright was seen in several independent films following the series. The films received moderately rated. In 2013 she made her performance debut on stage in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse. She also obtained a bachelor's degree in filmmaking from University of the Arts London. In 2012, Wright founded BonBonLumiere and began producing short films. Her first film she directed was the coming of age drama Separate We Come. Separate We We Go (2012). This film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to high critique. She also directed Know Thyself (2016) starring Christian Coulson and Sextant (2016). Both films explored emotional and natural landscapes as their themes. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls, which was premiering at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, comprised three episodes. She released Medusa's Ankles (2018) featuring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs and is which is based on A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She has directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright is an ambassador for Greenpeace and Lumos and has been recognized for her environmental advocacy.
